IonQ: A Full-Stack Approach to the Quantum Landscape
IonQ is on a mission to develop the world’s best quantum technology to solve the world’s most complex problems. This presentation will provide an overview of IonQ’s history and presence, followed by a broad exploration of the company’s core technological pillars. We will demonstrate how IonQ is creating a scalable, integrated, full-stack quantum platform by building capabilities and solutions across quantum computing, networking, security, and sensing. The overview will further cover specific products within each area, highlighting use cases where these capabilities deliver impact today – from addressing advanced computational challenges to high-precision sensing and secure communication. We will conclude with a look at IonQ’s strategic focus and growing presence within the Swedish quantum ecosystem.
About the presenter:
Hannes Johansson manages IonQ’s strategic relationships and business development across the Nordics and Baltics, focusing on bridging the gap between frontier quantum hardware and actionable industry strategy. Based in Gothenburg, his foundation is rooted in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology, subsequently specialising in data science and machine learning. During his time at AstraZeneca, he developed predictive AI and machine learning models for drug discovery before transitioning into strategic business development roles. Combining this technical background with a commercial perspective, Hannes now leads IonQ’s growth within the Swedish quantum ecosystem, focusing on the transition of quantum technology into real-world industrial impact.
