On 5 November, 8:00-9:00, we are delighted to host Fernando Alves, Manager, Strategic Projects and Partnerships, Quantum Australia. During the webinar, he will introduce Quantum Australia and highlight opportunities and collaboration pathways for Nordic quantum companies. Australia has one of the world's most established quantum ecosystems, built on decades of research leadership, world-class infrastructure and a fast-growing industry base.
In this webinar, Quantum Australia will give an overview of the Australian quantum landscape: the universities, research centres and national infrastructure behind it, and the companies working across the stack in computing, sensing and secure communications. We will look at where Australian industry is applying quantum today, including defence, mining, health, finance and energy, and where there are opportunities for international partners to get involved. The session will also cover practical pathways for Nordic companies and researchers to collaborate with Australia, including funding mechanisms, partnership models and market entry support. We will finish with a preview of the Quantum Australia Conference 2027 and how Nordic organisations can take part.

Fernando works in the team that leads Quantum Australia's international engagement, including with Europe and the United Nations, and works with researchers, start-ups, industry and government on the commercialisation and adoption of quantum technologies.
