QSIP joins Nordic initiative to strengthen quantum talent

QSIP is joining the Nordic Quantum Talent Attraction and Retention Initiative (NQTalent), a new Nordic collaboration aimed at strengthening career opportunities, mobility and access to talent across the Nordic quantum ecosystem.

The Nordic region has strong quantum research and education environments, but a key challenge is creating attractive career paths that allow skilled people to continue contributing to the Nordic quantum ecosystem after graduation. For a growing quantum industry, access to the right competence will be critical for turning research excellence into innovation, new companies and industrial growth.

Led by Nordic Quantum at Nordita together with Nordic ecosystem partners, NQTalent will develop several joint Nordic activities. A central initiative will be the Nordic Quantum Career Fair, bringing together students, researchers, companies and research institutions from across the Nordic countries. The project will also establish a Nordic Quantum Internship and Mobility Platform and a Nordic Quantum Ecosystem Navigator, making it easier to find opportunities, organizations and quantum hubs across the region.

For QSIP, participation in the project is closely aligned with our mission to strengthen connections between talent, research and industry.

“For Sweden and the Nordics to remain competitive in quantum technology, we need not only excellent research but also strong pathways for people to move between academia, start-ups and established industry. By working together across the Nordic countries, we can create a larger and more attractive quantum ecosystem with more opportunities for both individuals and companies.”

The project will run until February 2028 and is supported by Nordic Innovation.

On Nordic Innovation's website, more information about the project and other projects granted within the same call can be found.
