Five winners have now been announced in the Swedish innovation competition for quantum technology. The winning entries were presented at the GoWest investment forum in Gothenburg.
There was excitement in the air on the main stage inside Karlatornet when the winners of the innovation competition were announced. The winners show new ways for Swedish quantum technology and will now take steps towards the market.
– Here are five fantastic winners who are further developing the use of quantum technology in Sweden. We have already seen companies that want to collaborate with the finalists and now we hope that industry will take the chance and interact with these projects, says Jon Wingborg, competition leader from QSIP and Chalmers Industriteknik.
The competition highlights what is happening right now in the country in terms of new opportunities with quantum technology. The winners will share SEK 1.5 million in prize money, funds to take their innovative solutions forward in 2025.
– Here we see quantum solutions that are based on areas where Sweden has historically been strong in terms of research. Now they will work towards the market, says Camilla Johansson, Director of QSIP.
The competition is organised by the Swedish quantum network QSIP, with Chalmers Industriteknik as host organisation, and funded by Vinnova.
