Finalists announced in the Swedish Quantum Innovation Competition 

Eight finalists have been selected in the innovation competition on quantum technology. The pitch final will take place in front of the jury on 29 January, where five winners will share SEK 1.5 million. 

The competing entries in the innovation competition deal with new solutions with quantum technology for use cases in several exciting areas.  

– There have been many applicants with high potential. Now the jury has selected eight finalists that further develop the use of quantum technology in Sweden, says Jon Wingborg, Outreach manager from QSIP and Chalmers Industriteknik. 

The competition is an important component in solving the needs of industry using quantum technology and taking steps toward the market.  

The pitch final will take place on 29 January at the GoWest venture capital forum in Karlatornet in Gothenburg. Eight finalists will boil down to five winners, who will be announced at an award ceremony the following day. 

– It will be exciting to see parts of the Swedish quantum future on stage. It shows progress for the quantum technology ecosystem, says Jon Wingborg. 

The competition is organised by the Swedish quantum network QSIP, with Chalmers Industriteknik as host organisation, and funded by Vinnova. 

The finalists 

Eight finalists will compete for the 1.5 million SEK prize money. The eight consist of four startups, two entries from research institutes and two entries from universities.  

The pitch final 

The pitch final will take place from 12:30 to 14:00 on 29 January at GoWest. The winner will be announced at 11:50 on 30 January at the same investment forum in Gothenburg.
