Swedish industry needs to act in the ongoing quantum race. It is time for a new Swedish quantum innovation competition. Here, the Swedish quantum technology ecosystem gets a brand new opportunity to further its advances within this exciting field.
The innovation competition begins with various end users defining suitable challenges whose solution does not exist in available technology and where quantum technology can be a viable solution. Use this form to fill in your industry challenges.
– In this first step in November, industry gets a good chance to show its curiosity in quantum technology and describe industrial challenges that need to be solved. Leave the challenges with us in this form and we will try hard to find someone through the competition who can solve it, says Jon Wingborg, outreach manager from the Swedish quantum network QSIP and Chalmers Industriteknik.
QSIP and the innovation competition intend to act as a catalyst for collaboration between end users and solution providers and thus support the development of successful Swedish use cases. Camilla Johansson, director of QSIP and group manager at Chalmers Industriteknik, explains:
– It is important for Sweden to keep up with the pace of the ongoing quantum race. Within the innovation competition we will show the potential of quantum technology and find Swedish success stories and use cases, says Camilla Johansson.
In December the competition opens for applications and in January a pitch final. In this way, QSIP contribute to increase the awareness of the end users of the possibilities of quantum technology and at the same time lower the threshold for companies and organisations to approach the area.
