Working in small teams\, participants will investigate how scie ntific breakthroughs can evolve into applications with societal and commer cial relevance.\nThe workshop will be led by facilitators from Unternehmer TUM and TUM Venture Labs Quantum\, who have developed the program and succ essfully run six editions in Munich for quantum researchers. There will al so be facilitators from University of Copenhagen.\nTogether with experts a nd mentors from KU Lighthouse\, TUM\, and partners across the Nordic regio n\, you will:\n·         Break down research into core technolog ies and identify potential application areas\n·         Explore pathways from academic research toward research-based startups\n·          Learn the fundamentals of deep-tech venture creation\n·          Practice communicating the value of your ideas beyond the academ ic world\nThe program begins with a matchmaking dinner on 8 April\, where participants meet\, form teams\, and choose which technology they want to work with\, allowing the ideation process to start immediately on the morn ing of 9 April.\nDates and Location\n·         Matchmaking dinne r: 8 April 2026\n·         Two-day workshop: 9–10 April 2026\n ·         Location: The Maersk Tower\, Tagensvej 16\, 2200 Copen hagen N\, Denmark\nWho should apply: PhD students\, postdocs\, researcher s\, and PIs working in quantum-related fields\, including physics\, materi als\, chemistry\, sensing\, communication\, and computing. Participants ma y come with a concrete idea they wish to explore\, or simply with curiosit y about entrepreneurship and research-based startup creation.\nSelection: We have space for 16-20 participants. To foster a truly Nordic cohort\, pa rticipants will be selected with consideration for representation across a ll Nordic countries.
