SUMMARY:Innovation in Quantum Communication
DESCRIPTION:A Workshop Exploring the Next Frontier\nAbout the Event\nQuantu
m is like fusion\; always just out of reach\, but with the promise to chan
ge everything once it does arrive. Also like with fusion—where an actual
reactor is being built right on KTH campus—KTH is very competitive\, es
pecially when it comes to quantum communication.\n\nQuantum key distributi
on used to be science fiction\, but what is happening now in the lab and w
hat’s being implemented in testbeds all over Europe\, will fundamentally
change how we think about cyber security. Impact on priorities and roadma
ps will be huge\, both for startups and for established corporates. And mo
re importantly: business opportunities will arise that we can’t even beg
in to imagine.\n\nWelcome to join us in this workshop to explore the futur
e of quantum communication\, where innovation meets new horizons and bound
aries are redefined!\nWho Should Join\nThis workshop\, organized by the Qu
antum Sweden Innovation Platform (QSIP) in collaboration with the National
Quantum Communication Infrastructure in Sweden (NQCIS)\, welcomes all sta
keholders in the quantum communication ecosystem.\n\nWhether you are a res
earcher in academia or corporate R&amp\;D\, a master's student in quantum
technology or related fields\, or simply curious about the fascinating wor
ld of quantum communication\, you are more than welcome!\nAgenda\n\n\n10:0
0 Doors open. Fika and mingle.\n\n10:30 Act 1: Opening Panel\nGain insight
s from public sector\, academia\, and startup perspectives as we navigate
the field of quantum communication.\n\n Panelists\n\n Katia Gallo\, Prof
essor at KTH and director of NQCIS\n Beatriz Grafulla\, Head of Emerging
 Compute\, Ericsson RnD\n Gemma Vall Llosera\, Principal quantum engineer\
, Ericsson Innovation\n Elena Dubrova\, Professor KTH\, expert in hardwar
 e security and post quantum cryptography\n\n\n\n11:15 Act 2: Waveguide : a
  simulation exercise\n\nFacilitated in-depth discussion groups\, driven by
  a scenario related to the topic. You’ll explore\, discuss\, and learn t
hrough collaborative problem-solving. Groups are arranged on-site.\n\n12:1
5 Act 3: Closing panel\n\nConcluding discussion over a lighter lunch with
a collective reflection based on the insights from the break-out sessions.
\n\n Alessandro Prencipe\, PhD\, founder and CEO of LiNPhA\n Max Widarss
 on\, PhD\, Founder and CEO of Svenska Laserfabriken\n Marina Kudra\, PhD\
 , Application specialist\, Intermodulation Products\n Daniel Forchheimer\
, PhD\, CEO Intermodulation Products\n Josefin van der Meer\, Program dir
ector civil-military innovation\, Vinnova\n\n12:45 End of program and ming
le\n\n\nREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. SIGN UP TO SECURE YOUR SPOT!\n\nIn order
to hit the ground running\, we recommend reviewing this recent white pape
 r within the field.
